Bridge for Innovation. Variable space agility.
A work on the meeting area at the newly relocated Fuji Xerox's headquarters.
While maintaining essential functions of meeting and showroom, we have experimented an open design concept to showcase of an ideal future workplace, resulted in a theme - agility of variability space. The concept Agility comes from Fuji Xerox’s business strategy. We hope that our solution can serve as a sample answer to the era of VUCA on how we respond to the needs and goal of businesses.
The area is architected to build with fixtures that are all mobile, including the walls, enabling the space highly agile to accommodate needs of business discussion.
There are seven of movable fixtures set out, which can be placed and arranged day by day, to suit the purpose of the meetings as well as good use of furniture characteristics.
Partitions panels varies in its design for the visibility levels, from complete block out to 50% viewability, whose overlaps creates uniquley additional depth in transparency.
To compliment the zoning, we have coloring of floor and ceiling, providing a sense of boundary
To solve a challenge of noise, we have deployed sound masking system by ambient background, reducing distraction as well as speech privacy, while improving workplace vibrant acoustics. Beneath the floor is a set of power supply layout with optimal flexibility and versatility for any changes necessary in the future.
Pursuing a variable and movable space was a significant agenda for us in meeting organically controlled spatial functions without walls.
