This design project is located in the commercial core block of Hangzhou urban center. While blessed with the best resources, it should also bear the social responsibility that goes with it. Favorable resources produce radiating effects, which requires the design project to accommodate diverse sides of elements to meet the public expectation, including elements in technology, culture, arts, business, etc. It is more than a project, but reflects the soul of a metropolis. The idea behind this project is to inspire people’s desire for both happiness and ideal.
We put the totem from Inception into the space, making the space a situation where one shuttles between reality and dream. Space is folded here, so the spatial orientation of the field we created is pluralistic. This work represents the philosophical thinking of time and space. What we want to convey is the final inspection of urban people in the space.
The lighting device and art installation of this project are full of highlights. We are giving these installations not only design, not only art and culture. For example, through light programming and glass refraction, the rhythmic multimedia art installation gives off a brilliant and rational form of light, which, combined with the most pristine natural objects, creates values of nature and futurism.
The gyro represents the relationship between indicators, and the folding of time and space. In a multi-dimensional space-time situation, the gyro helps people in it identify the orientation of time and space.
The reinforcement of gyro hoisting, the reinforcement of light wall, the research and development of styling, the quality control of blowing process, and the presentation of curve shape all posed great difficulties in the construction process. The flowing presentation before the viewers is the result of several months’ adjustment and coordination with the construction team.
The materials adopted include mirror stainless steel, art glass, imported fabrics, imported acrylic, imported rock plate, etc., to deliver a sense of modernity and high technology, and when combined with a dazzling design, they present a feeling of floating reflections.
