Marunouchi Street Park is a pilot project that transforms the streets of one of Japan’s leading business districts into a 300m-long park emphasizing the value of connections between community, culture and people.

The area is divided into three blocks, each with distinct themes connected to city life: wellness, culture and ’PARKcation’.

This year, Yoichi distillery will mark the 90th anniversary of its opening. This distillery has served as the ideal location for Masataka Taketsuru, the founder and father of modern Japanese Whisky, to craft his world renowned Scottish inspired Whisky.  

A revitalization project to relocate and newly construct a museum facility damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. After the earthquake, Ishinomaki City planned to develop a cultural complex including a theater and a museum to serve as a new cultural center in the city, then the Ishinomaki City Museum, succeeding the Ishinomaki Cultural Center, was developed.
