Suzhou Industrial Park Renhai Interior Design Studio - Greenland Tai-Lake City (China)
The mansion is located on the shore of Taihu Lake, and as the gentle and long topography of the hills of Jiangnan changes, so does the view of observation, presenting different natural flavors of lakes, mountains, and fields. Based on such geomorphology, the landscape space is planned with terraces, vegetable gardens, and static ecological waterscape, and the landscape space is linked to the building by corridors. With reference to the design of the Pavilion of Surging Waves, both inside and outside, the space naturally echoes the water system of the community in the virtual and real, blurring the boundaries of the courtyard and the landscape of the community. The interior is also like a garden, the space unfolds like a scroll, small spaces are connected to large spaces, and the rhythm of human life is enriched by large and small transitions.
With a continuous change in the line of sight, the field acquires the interactivity and guidance of “flow and progression”. The geometric scale of the interior space needs to be controlled in the living scale that the residents can perceive, not too large and not too small. Without the scale of the sense of oppression and depression brought about by the scale and with reasonable control of the height of the interior and exterior, the horizontal line of sight is present in the height that the residents can perceive for a comfortable and safe living conditions.Windows of various sizes and shapes decorate the elegant and simple-looking interior, and a step-by-step view frames a picture of different landscapes.Through the study of the family's structure and lifestyle, a dialogue between architecture, people and the site is restarted, and the most rational spatial layout is planned to measure and maintain the relationship between landscape, architecture and interior in the site, which is unified as a whole yet with unique compositional forms in their respective spatial dimensions.
