The Circular Prototype designed by EGO Design Studio (Taiwan)

Family bonds are among the most precious non-material treasures in the world; home is the place everyone longs to return to in their hearts.

The homeowner of this project is a senior engineer at a technology company in the United States who deeply appreciates corporate culture. Having spent many years living and working in the U.S. with infrequent visits to Taiwan, they decided to return and settle in Taiwan to accompany and care for their aging parents while working remotely. This decision was driven by the desire to spend more time with family.

To meet the homeowner's dual needs of "constant companionship with family" and "a home office that feels like an American workplace," the design team incorporated curved elements into every corner of the space. The concept of using "circles" symbolizes family unity and togetherness, while "creativity" connects people with their technological work. This fusion gave birth to the project, aptly named "Circreate."

| Space Structure The overall ceiling and wall design are constructed with curved lines, creating a fluid relationship between people and space, and embodying the core value of "companionship."

| Material Usage The flooring and dining furniture feature a wooden tone that blends life with nature. Cool gray textured paint and beige marble used on the walls emphasize a unique simplicity, simplifying the overall space while retaining its essence and creating a blueprint for the future of the home. The entryway combines warm wood with a suspended marble structure, forming a large-scale dust area with horizontal and vertical lines, softening the rigidity and enclosed feeling to provide a pleasant movement for family members or visitors.

| Living Room: Dynamic and Static The curved structure of the ceiling and walls creates spatial continuity and guides the flow between public and private areas, building a bridge of emotional connection among family members. The living room is divided into dynamic and static spaces; the dynamic area is the sofa zone for family interaction and cohesion, while the static area is designed for quiet reading time. This interweaving of spaces strengthens the close, bidirectional bond between family members.

| Hallway | Kitchen | Dining Room The display cabinet next to the parents' room exit, which can hold plants or artworks, features an arched frame that doubles as a handle. This aids the elderly parents in safely navigating to and from the bathroom.

The kitchen entrance uses ribbed glass paired with gray glass to block oil fumes while creating an internal sense of transparency. Glass near the countertop broadens the visual space of the kitchen.

The dining room features a simple gray scheme interwoven with warm wooden tones. Objects incorporate flowing curves and rounded edges, infusing family meals with warmth and simplicity. The homeowner personally selected the same chairs used in the American tech company, showcasing a minimalist and sleek style.
