HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS OSAKA CITY CENTRE MIDOSUJI designed by MITSUI DESIGNTEC.CO.JP

The first Holiday Inn Express, an IHG brand hotel in Japan, opened in Midosuji, Osaka.

The brand concept of "simple smart travel" is combined with "comfort" to create the interior theme of "Smart & Comfy".

Considering the harmony with the glamorous Midosuji Avenue, the regional character of the hotel's location, the brand color blue and the view from Midosuji Avenue are incorporated dramatically into the space to create a simple yet impressive space.

The lobby space, especially the reception area, is boldly decorated in blue, the brand color of Holiday Inn Express, to create a memorable space.

Map art introducing Osaka's tourist attractions is placed in the area visible from the reception counter to encourage conversation between guests and hotel staff about their stay in Osaka. Graphic wall art featuring actual scenes from the neighborhood and artwork that impressively depicts the Osaka accent is placed throughout the hotel to create a sense of locality. This interior design was completed in support of the hotel staff's desire for guests to keep the memories of their stay as good memories in their hearts.
