KAMAKURA COUNTRY CLUB Renovation designed by CONTEMPORARY MARKET (Japan)
Kamakura Country Club was reborn on its 55th anniversary with the aim of creating a club life that is not only about golf but also a "comfortable place to be". A new club lounge with stone wall, a study room for mobile work and reading, and a fitness room have been created.
The design concept is the "castle tower" dreamed by the founder. Inheriting this history, we have incorporated a new interpretation of the stone wall of the castle wall as a design icon, with the stone lining connecting the interior and exterior. The confrontation of the zelkova tree stump object, which represents history, and the minimalist and futuristic chandelier, creates a story that connects the past and the future in the huge atrium space.
