CONTEMPORARY / LOCALIZE RESORT

We Achieve to Create a Casual Country Resort Villa

The guest rooms were designed in a contemporary way with the inspiration of Chinese traditions and Kunming's ethnic minority crafts. And as traditional techniques are dwindling, we offered to pass them into the present day as much as possible. Visiting a pottery workshop to create a ceramic lampshade, using the colorful clothing of Kunming's ethnic minorities on TV board panels and indigo-dyed crafts.

CONTEMPORARY / NTAURALS

Narrative/ Bringing the Nature Surrounding Inside

Inspired by the resort hotel's location called [Dragon Lake], the lobby area is designed to unite with the surrounding nature in a contemporary way.

Images of the lake are represented by Water Feature in the middle and ceramic artwork behind the reception. And a [Komorebi] light projection on floor expressing sunlight filtering through the trees and natural wood louvers are used to create an image of the surrounding woodland.

Ball Room :

FLOWER CITY / KUNMING

Expressing The Splendor of Flowers in All Seasons with Light

Kunming, also known as [City of Flowers], is filled with beautiful natural flowers throughout all four seasons.

Ballroom‘s ceiling used a flower shapes LED lighting with color changing and dimming to express the flowers of different seasons and created the wall by using the clothing of Kunming's ethnic minorities.

All Day Dining :

SUSTAINABLE / F&B

Enjoy Local Food in an [East Meets West] Space

The food culture of Kunming is simple but rich in natural ingredients, and the dishes served in the All-Day Dining come from the hotel's own farm in cooperation with local farmers.

They also developed the acceptance of outdoor activities during the covid-19 pandemic and worked to create a new sustainable resort hotel.
