This is the first "high-rise hybrid wooden hotel" in Japan, consisting of a low-mid-rise section of RC construction and a high-rise section of pure wood construction.

The building is made of Hokkaido timber, the furniture is made of Hokkaido timber, and the ART is designed to evoke the nature of Hokkaido.

The increase in abandoned houses in rural areas is a social issue in Japan. Many valuable historic buildings are demolished because of depopulation. This Project revitalizes the economy and protects cultural heritage in a depopulated area of the Izu peninsula. The Project consists of two facilities:  “LOQUAT”, an auberge in a traditional house with a restaurant serving local ingredients and guest rooms that retain the atmosphere of the traditional architecture; and “Villa SUGURO”, a group of detached houses, refurbished as guest houses. Our focus is preserving this threatened architecture, providing a new use that the locals can be proud of.

Representing one of Japan’s most respected hotel names, the Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei will be the first new hotel to open in Japan in about 20 years under the Hotel Okura brand. It opened in January 2022 on a site located next to the Okazaki Betsu in Branch Temple in the Okazaki area of Kyoto.

This is a project for the new hotel brand CROSS Life HAKATA TENJIN in Fukuoka, Japan.

Under the three concepts: Play with Local, My 3rd Place, and 360°Life, the hotel strives to be “the guest’s favorite place where they can unwind and be themselves.” To incorporate and materialize these concepts in the design, we began by exploring the attractive features of Fukuoka, the site location. By blending various elements extracted from our research into the interior design, we aimed to create a comfortable space imbued with intriguing “WOW” experiences that only this hotel can offer.

While the demand for banquet halls in rural areas had been declining year by year along with Japan's economic decay, COVID-19 from 2019 became pandemic and the demand for banquet halls almost disappeared. Therefore, the owner thought it would be possible to renovate the banquet halls as guest rooms.

This is the first FAV hotel designed by PDP London. A new concept design for FAV hotels.FAV hotels adopt a new concept to hotel room design. A room that appeals to larger group travel, families, and friends as well as longer stay for both domestic and international traveller.

Lakeview Resort Hotel Yulongwan Kunming designed by S.D.S.International Co., LTD. + SALT. International Co., Ltd. Kunming, also known as [City of Flowers], is filled with beautiful natural flowers throughout all four seasons. Ballroom‘s ceiling used a flower shapes LED lighting with color changing and dimming to express the flowers of different seasons and created the wall by using the clothing of Kunming's ethnic minorities.
