Factory building of Fueki Soy Sauce, a 230-year-old soy sauce brewery in Kawashima-Cho, Hiki-gun, Saitama Prefecture.
In the existing building on the ground, creative cuisine using soy sauce based on product sales space and udon. It has been renovated as an enjoyable eating and drinking space. While respecting the appearance of the dignified brewery, the best of soy sauce made of fuegi soy sauce in the brewery.
A multifunctional curved wall with the characteristic wooden tub motif penetrated into the building. Song. The face wall on the first floor separates the seating area from the sales space and serves as a shelf for the sales space.
It plays a role and also functions as a chair. On the second floor, light from the opening is wrapped. The walls and ceiling determine the impression of the space. A curved wall that extends from the first floor to the second floor through a stairwell connects the interior of the store continuously. Creates a sense of unity.
The curved wall is made of a lightweight steel frame that has been subjected to a bending process. We adopt engineering. The actual width is selected based on the width of the tub used for making soy sauce. Then, after performing the actual processing wider than usual, the curved surface was adjusted to fit the curvature.
